Due to rapid deterioration, KCI was contracted by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation to assess the condition of the Schoharie Creek Aqueduct.
Our survey team scanned the aqueduct and created a highly detailed 3D point cloud that showcased the physical structure in its current state. Drawings were then created in a standard AutoCAD 2D format, displaying details in brick and rock formations and topographic conditions surrounding the site. These deliverables enabled the client to compare present conditions to the last-documented information from 1969 and address concerns for the aqueduct’s future.
