Since 2016, KCI has undertaken several projects for Opportunity Home San Antonio, including multiple tasks at the Madonna Apartments, which houses seniors and disabled residents.
Our team prepared a feasibility report on the mechanical room and boiler system, documented pavement surface conditions, and identified necessary repairs to the steel gas main. The report included engineering recommendations and a rough order of magnitude estimates for construction. KCI was then contracted to design and replace 1,400 linear feet of three-inch steel gas main and service laterals, and to replace the asphaltic concrete pavement, including two parking lots.
Our team conducted a geotechnical investigation, addressed the replacement of their aging boiler system, managed topographic and boundary site surveys, and acted as an extension of the client by providing construction administrative services. Throughout the project, engineers considered the temporary relocation of elderly residents and ensured safe access routes. KCI’s commitment to reliable results and client satisfaction has fostered a strong relationship with Opportunity Home, supporting their mission to enhance dynamic communities.
