KCI provided landscape architectural, civil engineering and survey services for the phase two expansion of Dundee and Saltpeter Creeks Park, in Baltimore County, Maryland. The 400+ acre park encompasses a mixture of wetlands and woodlands for visitors to enjoy and explore.
Our team prepared design plans and specifications for a new canoe storage building and a wooden walkway that connects the building to a floating dock. Our team worked together to perform topographic surveys of the area, and prepared site, grading, erosion and sediment control and stormwater management plans.
To accommodate for more visitors, additional project improvements included an expansion of the existing automobile parking area, a new access road to the canoe building and new lighting and electrical upgrades. KCI also redesigned the pedestrian/bicycle path and the railings on the pedestrian bridge that traverses the Dundee Creek and provides access to the northeast side of the park.
