KCI is pleased to welcome Jaime Lopez, PE, to the firm as vice president and regional practice leader based in South Florida.
With a wealth of experience spanning over three decades in the Florida transportation industry and across all FDOT districts, Lopez will lead the management of all transportation business operations within the state. His role will encompass transportation and infrastructure initiatives, including areas such as highways and structural design, transit, transportation planning, traffic engineering and operations, ITS/TSMO (Transportation Systems Management and Operations), Project Development and Environment/NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act) studies, GEC/program management and airport/seaport infrastructure delivery.

Lopez earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Miami and completed graduate business coursework at Florida International University. He is a registered professional engineer in Florida and a graduate of the Chamber’s Leadership Miami Program. As an active member of multiple organizations, Lopez will continue his involvement in the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, Florida Transportation Builders Association (FTBA), National Society of Professional Engineers and the Florida Engineering Society/American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Florida. He is a past President of the Miami-Dade ASCE Branch and a member of several APTA Committees.
