KCI was recently recognized with the Best Post-Transaction Performance Award in the Less Than $10 Million size category for the acquisition of Hulsey McCormick & Wallace (HMW).
The honor, awarded by Morrissey Goodale LLC, recognizes leading firms who have implemented merger and acquisition (M&A) best practices for better client satisfaction, employee engagement, and investor value. Chairman of the Board Nathan Beil, PE, D.WRE, was present to accept the award on behalf of KCI during the Texas and the South M&A and Business Symposium in Houston, Texas.
The Best Post-Transaction Award utilizes a custom-developed Acquisition Performance Indicator (API) benchmark. Assessing acquisition performance against several criteria including revenue, profit, backlog, and voluntary turnover, the organization grades nominated companies for award consideration.
Hulsey McCormick & Wallace, a civil and environmental engineering company with offices in South Carolina, was acquired by KCI in 2020. The firm supported the public works programs for a range of clientele, extending from small municipal/county governments to larger public utilities that serve a significant customer base. HMW specialized in water treatment and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, management of stormwater discharges, environmental site assessments and remediation design, and all aspects of civil/site engineering. With the addition of HMW, KCI significantly expanded our team of environmental professionals that supports clients throughout the state.
Along with receiving the award, Morrissey Goodale is contributing a $1,000 donation to a 501(c)(3) organization within the A/E industry, chosen by KCI. KCI has selected the AEC Mentor Program as the recipient of this donation.
