Ashley Baumann Brings Environmental Expertise to KCI

KCI is pleased to welcome Ashley Baumann as a senior environmental planner and architectural historian in the firm’s Duluth, Georgia, office. She will leverage her expertise in environmental compliance and historic resource studies to further develop KCI’s growing environmental services offerings for transportation-related projects throughout the region.

Baumann’s nearly fifteen-year career in managing environmental assessment and compliance projects has afforded her expertise in overseeing historic resource surveys and evaluations, preparing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) reports, and completing Section 106 compliance documentation for local, state and federal transportation and utility projects. Through her support of major contracts across multiple states, she has gained extensive knowledge in cultural resource guidelines throughout the Southeast and has served as lead historian for major Georgia Department of Transportation roadway improvement projects.

Baumann earned her bachelor’s degree in anthropology and archaeology and her master of historic preservation degree from Mercer University and the University of Georgia College of Environment and Design, respectively. She is a Secretary of the Interior-qualified architectural historian, a member of the Georgia Association of Environmental Professionals and Women in Transportation organizations, and holds several credentials pertaining to regulatory policy. Baumann has authored and edited many environmental publications, including documents created exclusively for state and local agencies, and she currently serves as the vice chair for the City of Norcross Historic Preservation Commission.
