With our intimate knowledge of necessary regulations and permitting requirements, our team keeps projects in compliance while providing feasibility studies, new facility construction, rate structure analysis for water supply, treatment, storage and distribution, and wastewater conveyance and treatment design. KCI also provides support for all stages of identification and treatment of PFAS in drinking water. Beginning with the development of sampling and analysis plans for UCMR5 compliance, we can help clarify the process of addressing current PFAS exposure and complying with proposed regulations. Our experts evaluate PFAS sampling data to determine primary removal targets based on concentrations and the PFAS Hazard Index. We can prepare plans for bench-scale Rapid Small-Scale Column Tests (RSSCTs) and on-site pilot studies, develop design parameters and obtain treatment system proposals from equipment manufacturers, and evaluate proposed treatment systems to recommend the best fit for a specific site. Following system selection, KCI can assist with funding applications, prepare design reports, and submit plans and specifications packages to regulators for approval and construction.
