KCI is pleased to announce that Christopher Clements has been promoted to service line leader for Facilities in our West region.
With nearly 20 years of industry experience, Clements has expertise in preparing designs for a wide variety of facilities, including high rise residences, laboratories, warehouses, and medical institutions. His comprehensive skillset includes conducting extensive field surveys, system analyses, energy studies, and cost estimating services, among many other competencies.
Previously, Clements served as a project manager with Redding Linden Burr (RLB), which was acquired by KCI in 2014. His responsibilities included crafting and implementing electrical designs for a diverse portfolio of facilities, mentoring other engineers and designers, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints for various projects, and composing proposal submissions. Additionally, he actively worked to maintain and establish client relationships while performing construction administration tasks such as conducting site visits, managing RFIs, and overseeing project closeout punch lists.
Following the acquisition, Clements took on expanded leadership roles within KCI, driving initiatives to support company growth. His responsibilities steadily progressed along with his position, advancing from practice leader to his most recent title of vice president and regional practice leader. While serving in those roles, he oversaw the management of mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP) and fire protection engineers throughout the state of Texas. As he continually seeks to bolster the firm’s position as a market leader in facility design, his efforts have resulted in his promotion to service line leader.
In this new role, Clements will manage complex facility design initiatives for diverse clientele, overseeing high-level tasks like project planning, contract negation, and budgetary adherence. Working closely with a variety of facility professionals across the southwestern states, he will leverage his expertise to grow the service line throughout the western region.
“Chris has consistently demonstrated deep technical expertise and a strong ability to lead complex facility design initiatives. His experience managing multidisciplinary teams, navigating project constraints, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions has been instrumental in our firm’s growth, and I look forward to seeing him accomplish even more in his new role as service line leader.”
