KCI provided Howard County with a preliminary engineering report, final design and construction phase services for the Cedar Lane Water Pumping Station.
Our solution included three horizontal split case pumps, which provide a safe pumping capacity of 4 MGD, and integration of I&C into the County’s existing SCADA system. Overall I&C coordination included interfacing with surge relief valves and standard pump check service valves, flow metering, sodium hypochlorite storage and feed equipment, HVAC, standby diesel generator and fuel system, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), with the systems connected to the County’s fiber optic network.
