With over two decades of experience in engineering and construction, Gary Mryncza has accumulated numerous achievements that highlight his leadership and expertise.
He has been instrumental in several key growth initiatives for KCI, notably overseeing KCI’s environmental and water services expansion across North Carolina and the South Atlantic region, establishing a new office to jumpstart KCI’s geographic expansion into Tennessee, and launching KCI’s speculative mitigation banking program. He has spearheaded numerous award-winning projects spanning multiple states. In recognition for his contributions, Mryncza ascended to the position of vice president in 2010, assuming leadership of the firm’s resource management discipline a year later. In this capacity, he oversaw the natural and water resources and geospatial solutions practices across KCI’s footprint. Resource management later spun off the asset management practice under his leadership. His exemplary performance led to further advancement, culminating in his promotion to senior vice president in 2016.
In 2022, Mryncza assumed the pivotal role of water market leader, combining KCI’s resource management and environmental disciplines, where he assumed responsibility for a diverse team of engineers, scientists, construction managers, and technicians tasked with addressing challenges across the built and natural environment spectrum. In 2024, he was appointed president of KCI’s Construction Services Sector, which encompasses two key markets: KCI Communications Infrastructure, a prominent telecommunications contractor, and KCI Environmental Technologies and Construction, a specialized environmental construction firm.
Mryncza holds master’s degrees in water resources from the University of Birmingham (UK) and civil engineering from Vanderbilt University. Demonstrating his commitment to excellence, Mryncza is a graduate of the ACEC Senior Executive Institute and he is a licensed professional engineer in ten states and the qualifier for General Contractors licenses in three states.
